Developing a Special Needs Advisory Panel: Fostering Local Health Department Collaboration in Preparedness Planning for At-Risk Populations.
Frankie-Marie Shipman is the Emergency Response Coordinator in the Community Preparedness and Coordination Unit within the Cook County Department of Public Health in Oak Park, IL. She is responsible for coordinating emergency communication and mobilization training and planning for CCDPH staff and for at-risk populations in suburban Cook County. She co-chairs the Joint Cook County Department of Public Health and Chicago Department of Public Health Emergency Preparedness Special Needs Advisory Panel, and is the deputy chair for the Communications Committee whose purpose is to coordinate internal and external communication for the agency.
Frankie received her Bachelors of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from Emory University. She received her Master of Public Health from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University.
